1.Reach out
The “supermom” complex, when we feel compelled to “do it all” on our own, is what most moms relate with. This is not a good idea. We can practice self-care when we have a support system. Learn to ask for assistance; ask a friend or member of your family for assistance with a duty you’ve been putting off today. Or have someone else watch the kids for an hour or two so you can take care of yourself.
2. Make good night’s sleep a priority.
It’s hardly surprising that parents aren’t getting enough sleep in a culture that feeds on jokes about “sleeping when we’re dead.” Who else will complete everything?
Sleep has an impact on every aspect of our lives, including our mind, body, and spirit.Last but not least, avoid using devices at least an hour before bedtime. No scrolling in bed to improve the quality of your sleep — it works! So instead of scrolling before night, pick up a decent book.
3. Family friendly workouts
Moms’ biggest gripe about the activities they DON’T have time for is exercise.
Working out in the same room as your husband, kids, and pets may not be your first option, but it is possible.
Make a few playlists of your preferred music. Have a DAILY dance party in your kitchen if music inspires you to move! In addition to being a BLAST, dancing is a fantastic method to lose weight and have FUN.
4. Nourish your body
A crucial element of any form of self-care is nutrition. When we nourish our bodies, we provide our bodies with high-quality energy and it also helps us feel better!
Make it a daily goal to consume as many different colors as you can. This is a fantastic method to acquire the recommended amount of nutrients each day.
5. Declutter
As mothers, we frequently hang onto A LOT! We cram the entire world into a figurative rucksack that we carry about all day long, between all the bags, kid items and kids.
If we tidy for 5 minutes each day, we create space and room, which allows us to reclaim time.
Check your smartphone to see where you spend the most time. Many of us frequently use our phones for more than 7-8 hours without even realizing it.
Spend a few minutes each day tuning in to your needs on the physical, emotional, and spiritual levels. We have the potential to change when we can clearly detect patterns in our lives.
